Growing crops in Minecraft is one of the most peaceful things in the sandbox game. Crops like sugarcane, wheat, carrots, potatoes can be grown in minecraft in the soil as long as the water source is close enough for all of them to grow.

Sugarcane is a plant in Minecraft that can grow up to four blocks tall, and sugarcane stops growing after it’s four blocks tall. Sugarcane is an essential item in Minecraft because players can make many valuable things from sugarcane such as: paper and sugar.

Build a Paper Farm in Minecraft

Automatic sugarcane farm

These farms require redstone which can be easily mined. Players can easily craft observers, pistons, using redstone. In such a sugarcane farm, observers are placed three blocks above and one more block next to the block on which the sugarcane grows.
Players do this because whenever a cane block is three blocks high, observers can easily send a redstone signal to the piston below them.

In minecraft the piston is placed just below the observer, this helps to capture the signals from the observer and pushes to break the bamboo, which is then easily collected in the chest using the hopper. This cycle continues till the field is not broken in any way.
